Private Stock, Jethro tull.

Welcome to PRIVATE STOCK. Jethro Tull is one of the best. These talented Musicians created a sound and style very unique. British group formed in 1967, by the fall of 1968 they released "This Was" their first album. Since they started the band line up had many changes through the years.
In 1968 they performed at The "Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus". Check out "A Song For Jeffrey".

Ian Anderson has been in the band since day one, he write most of the material, play the flute, acoustic guitar and is the singer of the band.
Martin Barre has been in the band since 1969, playing the guitar.
The line up in 1970 was Jeffrey Hammond- Bass, Clive Bunker- Drums, John Evan- Keyboards.
From those early years lets check out "Witches Promise" performed in 1970.

Since then they have recorded more than 30 albums and touring over the world.
It is remarkable to look back and see the way they musically grew from one album to the next, the evolution of their music never stop. You can listen to "This Was" from 1968 or "Songs From The Woods" from 1977 and you are going to like them both. They are different but both are very good. In the 10 albums recorded between those two you can see how much they grew in a period of 9 years.
From 1976 to 1979 Jethro Tull line up was Ian Anderson and Martin Barre with John Glascock on bass, Barriemore Barlow on drums, John Evan on Keyboards and David Palmer on keyboards, synthesisers.
We can see a sample of this line up here playing a great song "Thick As A Brick" at the Madison Square Garden in 1978.
