Private Stock, Neil Young.

Welcome to PRIVATE STOCK. Neil Young is one of the most respected and influential musicians of his generation. I have respect and admiration for Neil, not only for his talent as a musician, film maker etc. He is socially responsible and involved in environmental issues, politically outspoken. He help many people. Neil began touring and performing in Canada as a solo artist in 1960. He moved to LA in 1966 and with Bruce Palmer, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Dewey Martin "Buffalo Springfield" was formed, they released 3 albums, and then break up.

We have been enjoying his music for four decades, during his long career he has played with many people but we can probably say that his most important musical contributions are "Buffalo Springfield" "Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young" "Neil Young and Crazy Horse" and of course as a solo Artist.
His musical influences are blues, jazz, rock, acoustic folk etc. Some of  the musicians that he was influence by are Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash etc.

Neil Young music is unique, his sound and style has a signature, the outspoken lyrics, the distinctive guitar work and his tenor singing voice.
The "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame" refers to Neil Young in their website article as;
"Flatly one rock & rolls greatest songwriters and performers" consistently demonstrating "The unbridled passion of an artist who understands that self-renewal is the only way to avoid burning out"
