Private Stock, Rush.

Welcome to PRIVATE STOCK. Rush a great band was formed in the end of the 60's in Canada. A self titled debut album was released in 1974 with this line up:
Alex Lifeson- six and twelve-string acoustic and electric guitars, synthesizer pedals and backing vocals.
Geddy Lee- bass, lead vocals, keyboards, synthesizer pedals.
John Rutsey- drums, percussion's.
After the release of the self titled album, John Rutsey resigned, he didn't want to be touring. Neil Peart joined the band in July of 1974 and they have been together ever since. Lets enjoy some Rush from the early days, check out "Fly By Night".

From the released of the self titled album in 1974 the evolution and growing of Rush music has been incredible and since the released of the second album "Fly By Night" Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee work on the musical side and Neil Peart usually write the lyrics. These musicians have been acknowledged as being some of the best players on their respective instruments and they have many Awards and achievements, these are just some of them:
24 gold records, 14 platinum and 3 multi-platinum records.
Rush was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994.
They are not inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet but they have been eligible since 1998. Here lets enjoy "The Trees."

I love their style is a great band and they are still rocking but in 1997 and 1998 tragedy hit the band, first Neil Peart daughter Selena died in a car accident and next year his wife Jacqueline died from cancer. Rush was done, Neil told his band mates at his daughter funeral "consider me retired". Neil took a break to grieve and in 2002 he was back in the studio ready to record an album and start touring again. Their last album was released in 2008 "Snakes & Arrows" and they had a great worldwide tour. Lets check out "Tom Sawyer".
